Agriculture & Environment

FACT is implementing community resilience and food security projects in Kasungu, Zomba, Salima and Nkhatabay districts in Malawi, the overarching objective of this program is to eradicate hunger by improving food security at household level using sustainable and climate smart agricultural practices to build resilience. We have catalyzed positive attitudes among the youths who are agri-champions within their communities supporting local farmers with locally generated solutions to climate change, these youths who have been trained and mentored manage demonstration garden/fields. We are supporting communities in meeting both short and long-term needs through provision of humanitarian assistance and other climate resilient agriculture mechanisms. The program involves provision of water pumps to the famers enabling them to improve their production to ensure availability of food throughout the year.
